Questions students ask
What was the NEET PG 2025 closing rank for MD General Medicine?
In MCC 2025 counselling, the last government MD General Medicine seat for General/Open went at AIR 3,822 in Round 1 and AIR 17,190 in the stray round. The typical college closed much earlier, around AIR 1,312 in Round 1.
Why do closing ranks go up after Round 1?
In Rounds 2, 3 and the stray round, students who upgrade or leave free their earlier seats, and those seats go to students further down the list. So a branch that closed early in Round 1 can come within reach later.
Are these NEET PG 2026 cutoffs?
No. 2026 counselling has not happened yet, so nobody has 2026 closing ranks. These are the real 2025 results, the closest guide available. The 2026 seat matrix is larger, so ranks can move.
Source: MCC NEET PG 2025 allotment lists (Round 1, 2, 3 and stray vacancy), government MD/MS seats in the All India quota (university quotas such as DU, BHU and AMU are left out: they are only for their own graduates). A seat's closing rank is the All India rank of the last student who got it. These are 2025 results, not 2026 predictions: 2026 ranks can move.
