Madhya Pradesh NEET PG counselling 2026: what the 2025 rounds looked like
Madhya Pradesh's state NEET PG (MD/MS) counselling for 2026 has not started yet. While you wait, here is exactly how far Madhya Pradesh's own 2025-26 state counselling went: 3,257 state-quota allotments across 27 colleges, round by round, from Madhya Pradesh's own published allotment lists. Last updated 2026-10-06.
Sources & method
- mcc.nic.in — official MCC NEET PG 2025 Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and stray vacancy allotment result PDFs, All India quota (retrieved 2026-10-01).
- State counselling authorities for state-quota data (Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and 18 other states) — see each state's own guide for its specific source links and retrieval dates.
Method, in short: for each branch, round and category we take the highest All India rank among candidates actually allotted a government (All India quota) seat — that is the round's "closing rank" or "last seat". The "typical college" is the median closing rank across government colleges in that round. University-quota seats (DU, BHU, AMU and similar, reserved for their own graduates), deemed-university seats and DNB seats are counted separately and never mixed into the government-seat numbers above. Rounds included: Round 1 through the stray vacancy round, for every published category (Open, OBC, EWS, SC, ST). Candidates with no AIR printed in a source document, or quota types specific to one state with no MCC equivalent, are excluded rather than estimated.

Who is eligible
- No separate domicile/residence exclusion: Madhya Pradesh's own 2025 documents show out-of-state NEET PG qualifiers merit-ranked alongside MP candidates (DME FAQ, Q26). From Round 2 onward, a seat goes to a non-domicile candidate on merit-cum-choice only once MP-domicile candidates in that merit band are exhausted.
- NRI quota seats exist in private medical colleges (154 state-quota NRI seats in the 2025-26 First Round seat chart); only MP-domicile NRI candidates may fill choices in Round 1, non-domicile NRI candidates from Round 2 onward.
Honest limits of this data
- The mop-up round was reconstructed from MP's own opening/closing report because the mop-up allotment PDF's row layout misattributed some college names: 808 of 921 seat-group closing ranks reproduce exactly against MP's own report; 113 differ because the report's reported seat went to a student retaining a seat from an earlier round (not a fresh mop-up allotment); 32 seat groups could not be placed and are left out.
- No stray round was ever published for MP MD/MS 2025-26 (only Round 1, Round 2 and the mop-up round) as of this page's last update.
